Faux Dynamic Graphics Cover Project
For the Faux Magazine Cover Project, I selected Dynamic Graphics. I made "Get Your Projects Noticed" the main article on the cover and chose a garden scene as the
background. I decided on the garden bench scene because it seemed hidden away. I then selected the hand holding the magnifying glass to give the perception of "focusing" on the garden scene. I used the orange-red color for the glass of the magnifier to draw attention tot the white garden bench.
Once I selected the photos I wanted to use for the project, I dimmed the background image to 28% opacity and placed it on a white background. I also used the Gaussian Blur filter to make the background less defined. I used the shape of the magnifying glass to select a circular portion of the original garden bench photo and placed an orange-red color overlay upon it. After laying out the cover photos, I selected the two fonts for the cover text.
