One Letter: Unity and Variety

This project involved using a sans serif and serif font in uppercase, lowercase, regular, bold and italic to create a design in black, gray and white.

I used Eden Mills and Bodoni to develop the design. The shapes of the sans serif Eden Mills font give drama to the design. The sharp strokes and slashes of the font give the design movement, while the different shades of black and gray add variety. I overlapped the letters to give the design depth. I also used the serif Bodoni font, particularly the italic weight to add movement and flow to the design.
